Pericles! The name moves Shakespeare's most ardent admirers to ask, "Are you sure that was one of his?" And Shakespeare most certainly did have help: pimp, novelist, and wanna-be playwright George Wilkins. The result is... uneven. The Rudes, of course, are going to make it more uneven.

Time: 8PM to 10 PM (Call if you're going to be later than 9)

Performances late January/early February
dates and locations TBD
We're putting both Wilkins and Shakespeare on stage, wrestling for control of the plot (and sometimes acting in each other's scenes). Pericles and his fellow actors struggle to keep up with the careening story line. We're actually doing the play; it's all Shakespeare's (and Wilkins') text. We're just going to have a little fun with it in the process. Come play.
Women: 3-5 actors
Men: 5-7 actors
Most actors will play more than one role (generally, a featured character in one act, and secondary characters in a different act). There will be rapid costume changes and other antics. Owning pirate garb a plus.
All ages, races, etc. are needed. A facility for Shakespeare and an ability to laugh at him, and yourself, is all you need. Auditions will consist of sides from the script; sides will be posted on the web site. No monologues, but be prepared to play improv games at callbacks.
